She is a Mama and an artist. Everything she creates is so beautiful. We have a lot of the same taste in fabrics, materials, and even items! We met around Christmas time, and have been bouncing ideas off each other ever since.

AllieBeans has sold a whopping 1400 *plus* items, and remains a top google search when I looked up some of her fabrics. She has 100% positive reviews, which is hard to do when you have so many sales. Yep! I have fallen in love with the work of another. This seamstress and photographer presents us with top-notch work as well as beautiful photos of her pretty goods to make me swoon :) Providence Handmade is a perfect example of someone who doesn't mind using precious vintage quilts or other lovely fabrics on her projects.

i absolutely LOVE these hand sewn bracelets from Ponder and Stitch. They are dainty, delicate, and downright awesome. I am not sure if she uses interfacing, but there is definitely something between the layers of beautiful fabrics that gives these bracelets shape.
The double stranded style is probably my favorite. But I'd even like to see these in single-strand. I just cannot believe how cute these are....

I love the earrings the most, but it is no wonder this amazing etsy seller has over 1,000 sales. her photos are so sweet, and the fabrics she encases in oxidized copper make for a very special treat. i even found one pendant that i used in a skirt many years ago. that may be the one i have to get!

ooh ooh! these fabric creations are one of a kind and truly beautiful! She has a whole product line for home and hand. By hand I mean these cute little stuffed guys which she sews with her hand-printed fabric. The pillows she creates are quite adorable too. Her purses look well-loved, yet still completely new.

This shop is incredibly amazing. The organic nature of their goods just makes em so happy! They mostly screen print onto things like bibs and fabric to make pillows and other goodies. They also enlist companies like Ink & Spindle to print their fabric, and then use the designs on their items.
For instance, these adorable bloomers are a great collaboration and i LOVE the end product!

Burp Cloths!!

I love using funky, modern, bright fabrics for baby items, which you wouldn't maybe normally think of. I do have a soft spot in my heart for those beautiful baby prints, mostly the vintage reproduction ones though. I know on Etsy, there are several successful sellers who focus mainly on the burpies and similar items. Here are just a few. If you have never made these before, they are super easy!! You can repurpose towels for the back sides, you can also use chenille or flannel on one side, and you can of course, always embellish pre-existing cloth diapers. If the diapers have some small stains on them, you could always dye them a cute color with non-toxic dyes.

Today I found these amazingly wonderful canvases by Laura Amiss. They feature such lovely scenes as gals in the rain, and the cycle of a girl holding a dreamy floral, vintage purse! She is such an amazing Artist she inspired me to get back to this blog for 2010! On these canvases, it appears that she stretches her own canvases, then covers them with one layer of white muslin and the leg materials, then, she covers that over with a more sheer material, appliques the bodies. Then, she probably goes in with felt and top layers of cotton and details out the dresses and the hair/accessories like purses ad umbrellas. Lastly, she uses free-hand embroidery to stitch on the shadows and other detailing!
I LOVE this artist! And I hope you find her as unique as I do! Only a true artist can do work like this.

It looks like she designs each and every garment and sews it up nice and pretty! She uses stretchy jersey fabrics accented with cottons. The bases of the dresses are mostly solid colors, and does plaids and other patterns for accents.

I still have yet to visit purl is New York, but I do love the projects they offer on their website. Here is a LINK to a beautiful, easy linen bias baby bib. The linen bias tape is really great too. Not sure if it is available on their site anymore, but maybe find it elsewhere??

So, this momma is totally great. She uses very fine quality fabrics, like the decorator weight of some of my fave designers. Her home looks super cute too!! Take a trip over to her shop to read her kind words, and see a bit more about all of her creations. Ans, it looks like I am not the only one who wanted to feature her. These are some of the other places she's been featured. Guess she's onto something great!!

This cool seamstress is so talented. I have tried to make this style of dress before, but I am never successful. I have such a hard time using this amount of fabric at once, so that may be one of my problems :) This style of dress also reminds me of all of the wondrous concerts I have been to over the years...
